SYREN Modern Dance and The Art Students League of New York warm up the winter with a series of gallery-based rehearsals where painters will portray the company’s dynamic motion on canvas. This artistic and audience outreach Partnership program is intended to expand public appreciation for fine and performing arts as well as give both organizations exposure to new audiences. The Partnership will be done in conjunction with SYREN’s 2011 New York performance season.

The Partnership with The Art Students League invites fine arts students into two SYREN rehearsals a month that will be held in the Phyllis Harriman Mason Gallery at The Art Students League. The visual artists will observe the dancers in motion and convey that inspiration in their own mediums.
