Lynn Peterson (Co-Artistic Director/Dancer) received her training from Jordan Academy of Dance, Indianapolis Ballet Theater, Hosanna Sacred Arts, SUNY Purchase, Lincoln Center Institute, The Yoga Room (200 hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training), and Asana Alphabet (Children’s Yoga Teaching Certificate). Lynn has the following inspired teachers to thank for leaving their lasting imprint within her – Laura Byram, Jennifer Ladner, Beverly Martin, Kenn & Sue Tolle, Megan Williams, Neil Greenberg, and Tarin Chaplin.  With SYREN, Lynn has enjoyed dancing in and/or creating the 20 pieces SYREN has shared with thousands of audience members from New York to Paris.  Ms. Peterson has enjoyed being on faculty at Mark Morris Dance Center as well as Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts.  She has also worked with students at Purchase College, Yale University, Anderson University, The Hartt School, Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts, The Ethel Walker School, Performing Arts Center of Connecticut, Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School, Jordan Academy of Dance, Broad Ripple High School, Ballet Theatre of Carmel, Academy of Dance Arts, New American Youth Ballet, Dance Arts Studio & Center of Movement Studies; and she has choreographed for the acclaimed Off-Broadway theater company, Waterwell. Tremendous gratitude to Kate for 17 years of going together step by step by step, to the ever-inspiring company members of SYREN, and to Eric and Silas, for keeping my heart full and my spirit bright.
