Erin Ghislin Lane is a Chicago native and trained with Watmora Casey at the Faughbourg School of Ballet. There she performed classical ballets including Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Don Quixote as well as numerous original contemporary dance works. Erin studied at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and graduated in May 2006 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance. While at NYU, Erin worked with and performed works by Karole Armitage, Merce Cunningham, Deborah Jowitt, James Martin, Cassandra Phifer, and Sean Curran including several student choreographers as well as creating her own work. She has also had the pleasure of dancing and training abroad in Salzburg and Montreal where she worked with Cas Public. Erin has held a scholarship at the Merce Cunningham Studio and danced with New York choreographers Justina Gaddy, Bryan Hayes, Beth Soll & Company and James Martin. She currently works with ess/DanceWorks and is very happy to be dancing with SYREN.
