SYREN is available to teach master classes to dancers including modern technique, modern partnering, improvisation, and composition. Artistic Directors Lynn Peterson and Kate St. Amand can offer the unique experience of team teaching any of the above classes as well as teaching SYREN repertory workshops or setting repertory on students for performances.
Class work movement exercises emphasizing connecting to the natural force of the weight of the body, musical specificity, focus, and transitions will guide a thorough and dynamic warm-up. Students (particularly advanced level students) will also be encouraged to make their own choices through assignments in movement manipulation, variation, development, creation, and more! The moment of movement is inspiring to witness.
